THE COTTAGE

The Hideaway is a charming former fisherman’s cottage that has been tastefully decorated using quality fixtures and fittings. With original painted floorboards, beamed ceilings, stone floors and converted cellar, this cottage is a truly superb place to stay.

The cottage sleeps 6 with a z-bed and cot available on request. Luxury Eygyptian cotton linen and towels are provided (Linen not provided for cot).The cottage is non-smoking, no pets and has no steps to its access.

PLEASE NOTE – The cellar of the property is the original old cellar so as expected has very low ceiling in some areas. There are ‘mind your head’ signs but please take care when entering and down in the cellar of the standing height. We recommend that our guests take slippers for their comfort as although there are rugs throughout the house all the floors and stairs are painted wooden boards.

The Tower Room

'The Clock Tower’ – A beautifully decorated twin bedroom with original painted floorboards, hand painted furniture, dressing table, hairdryer, flat-screen TV and built in wardrobes. With views of the old market square’s Clock tower.


Room 199

Room 199’ – situated on the top floor of the cottage with superb all round views of the pier, Abbey, clock tower and moors beyond. This charming bedroom has painted floor boards, a luxury king size bed, hand painted vintage furniture, dressing table, hairdryer, flat-screen TV and built in wardrobe.

Situated on the first floor is the stunning family bathroom with painted floor boards, exposed brick wall, free standing bath, electric double shower, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail and shaver point.

EN-SUITE

Adjacent to the master bedroom is the modern en-suite bathroom with electric shower, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail, mirror and a shaver point.

LIVING AREAS

LOUNGE

The cosy lounge has painted floorboards, beamed ceiling and electric log burner. There is a comfortable corner leather settee, large coffee table and flat-screen Smart TV, as well as a small library of books and board games to keep the whole family occupied. Patio doors lead onto the private courtyard.



KITCHEN

From the entrance hall there are two steps down into the quaint kitchen that has original pan-tiled flooring, bricked walls and large window overlooking the courtyard. The kitchen is well equipped to make your stay feel like home from home with 4 ring gas hob, electric oven, micro-wave, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, slow cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a bench style dining table suitable for 6 with fisherman style lantern above.

OUTSIDE

The cottage has a beautiful private, furnished courtyard ideal for dining outside or relaxing on those long summer nights.



THE CELLAR

‘CELLAR BAR’ – ideally situated opposite the playroom is the converted cellar bar that oozes character and charm, with its’ original low beamed ceiling, stone walls and flooring. There is a fridge to stock your own beverages and enough seating for everyone to relax for that social drink at the end of the day.

PLAYROOM

There is a children’s playroom situated in the cellar which is well equipped with books, games and toys for all ages, as well as comfortable seating, and a Smart TV.
